BRAMPTON, ONTARIO – The Brampton Beast announce today that they have signed forward Aaron Berisha to an SPC for the 2020-21 season.
Berisha, 25, spent last season in the EBEL with Orli Znojmo. The skilled winger played in 50 games in his rookie season and scored 12 goals and 24 total points. He also added one assist through three postseason contests.
The talented forward previously starred for Saint Mary’s University and suited up for three seasons with the club. His best campaign came in 2018-19 when he scored 18 goals and 29 points in 30 games.
Berisha also has some limited ECHL exposure and made it into eight games with the Missouri Mavericks during the 2016-17 season.
The Toronto, Ontario native also has Ontario Hockey League experience under belt and played for both the Belleville Bulls and London Knights over his OHL tenure. He wore an “A” for the Knights in 2015-16 and had 72 points in 66 games in his final year.
Berisha had a strong OHL career as evidenced by the young forward being named an OHL Cup Champion and OHL Cup MVP in 2010-11 and a CHL Memorial Cup Champion and OHL Champion in 2015-16.
