BRAMPTON, ONTARIO – The Brampton Beast announce today that they have re-signed defenseman Brenden Miller to an SPC for the 2020-21 season.
Miller, 26, is coming off of a fantastic year for the Beast that saw him suit up in 59 games. He scored five goals and had 26 assists for 31 total points. The Orangeville native also accumulated 77 penalty minutes and led the Beast with a +22 rating.
Prior to Brampton, Miller has seen ECHL action with a trio of clubs including the Manchester Monarchs, Florida Everblades and Orlando Solar Bears.
He has also spent time abroad in Europe and has gotten into games with Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk of the VHL, HC Banska Bystrica of Slovakia and Tingsryds AIF in the Allsvenskan in Sweden.
The feisty defenseman also has two American Hockey League games under his belt with the Toronto Marlies and scored a goal over that span.
Prior to making his way into the professional side of hockey, Miller starred in the Ontario Hockey League and played with both the Brampton and North Bay Battalion. The bruising blueliner wore an “A” in his final OHL season in 2014-15.
