BRAMPTON, ONTARIO – The Brampton Beast announce today that they have re-signed versatile forward Jackson Leef for the upcoming ECHL season.
Leef, 28, will be suiting up for his fourth season with the Beast. The Fort Wayne, Indiana, native was one of three Beast skaters to play in every game of the Covid-19 shortened season.
The forward scored a career-high 17 goals and added 16 assists for a total of 33 points through 62 games. He also accumulated 30 penalty minutes over the course of the campaign.
Leef has one game of American Hockey League experience under his belt and suited up with the Laval Rocket during the 2017-18 season.
Leef has some championship hardware from his college career. During the 2016-17 season, Leef was named to the NCAA III (MASCAC) First Team All-Conference and was also the NCAA III (MASCAC) Player of the Year.
The forward also has some leadership qualities as evidenced by his time as an alternate and later captain with Westfield State University.
