BRAMPTON, ONTARIO – The Brampton Beast announce today that they have re-signed defenseman Cam Bakker to an SPC for the 2020-21 season.
Bakker, 27, started last season by playing eight games for the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the SPHL.
The smooth-skating defenseman was called up to the Beast shortly after and earned himself a regular spot in the lineup for the balance of the season. Bakker went on to score four goals and 12 total points through 43 games.
The native of Kenmore, Ontario, Bakker has also suited up in the ECHL for the South Carolina Stingrays and played 42 games for the club during the 2018-19 campaign.
Prior to turning professional, Bakker played four seasons for Liberty University and in 2014-15, was named an ACHA Second Team All Athletic member.
