BRAMPTON, ONTARIO – The Brampton Beast announce today that they have signed forward Jared Gomes for the upcoming ECHL season.
Gomes, 31, spent time with the Beast this past season and scored three goals and added four assists for seven points through five games.
The Brampton, Ontario, native then made the jump to Germany and suited up with EC Bad Nauheim and the Ravensburg Towerstars. He accumulated 24 points in 27 contests spilt between the two squads.
The pivot brings a wealth of experience to the Beast roster, which comes in the form of 189 American Hockey League games over the course of his career.
He has spent time with the San Antonio Rampage and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and racked up 28 goals and 61 total points.
Prior to making the transition to the professional ranks, Gomes suited up for the Ontario Hockey League’s Sarnia Sting and Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors and the University of Prince Edward Island of USports.
