BRAMPTON, ONTARIO — The Brampton Beast, the ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, are pleased to announce today that potent offensive rearguard Willie Corrin has earned a callup to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

Corrin, 25, has been simply outstanding for the Beast since being loaned from the Marlies in early December. He has been able to rack up a terrific five goals and 10 points in 17 games for the Beast this season.

What is perhaps most impressive is the manner in which he has accumulated these statistics. He has proven to be a multi-dimensional offensive talent because he scores goals off the rush just as easy as he utilizes his strong wrist shot from the blue line.

This will not be Corrin’s first time representing the Marlies. He notched two assists in four games for the club during the 2015-2016 season.

He will look to make it into the Toronto lineup for their Friday night road game against the Hartford Wolf Pack.
