NOTE: Live commentary will not begin until 15 minutes before puck drop.

TODAY'S GAME: The Brampton Beast, the ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, are looking to prevent their first four-game losing skid of the season by taking down the Kalamazoo Wings. Brampton has not dropped four games in a row since March 2016.

MILESTONE WATCH: Beast Captain Brandon Marino is in need of one more assist , to tie Jason Pitton's franchise record of 51 helpers. Marino has potted three assists thus far this season against Kalamazoo. Chris Auger just needs to light the lamp one more time to tie Andrew Fournier for third on the all-time Beast goal scoring list. Auger has 28 goals and Fournier has 29.

TOUGH OPPONENT: The Kalamazoo Wings have proven to be a very difficult opponent for the Beast to topple over the course of their three seasons in the ECHL. The K-Wings have won 11 of the 14 total head-to-head matchups, and are currently enjoying a seven game winning streak over the Beast that dates back to January 2016.

TERRITORIAL EDGE:  Brampton has certainly played well enough to warrant victory in each of their four previous games against the K-Wings. The Beast has enjoyed  a double digit lead in shots in three of those four games and have on average outshot the K-Wings 35-25.

PENALTY KILL CLICKING:  Despite the Beast dropping three of their first four games in January, their penalty kill units continue to thrive as they have muffled 19 of 22 (86.3 percent) opposition power plays. Brampton has killed off 16 of 20 Kalamazoo man-advantage chances.

COMEBACK GANG: Sunday's 3-2 overtime loss to Kalamazoo was the latest illustration of the Brampton Beast's tremendous ability to overcome third period deficits to pick up points in the standings. Brampton has now erased an opponent's third lead to claim a win or force overtime an impressive six times.

EFFECTIVE SNIPING: The Brampton Beast has produced a impressive 3.68 goals per game in large part because this team is highly effective in shooting the puck. This team's shooting percentage of 11.47 is third best in the ECHL. Conversely, the K-Wings shooting percentage of 8.13 ranks in the bottom five.
