1. The Brampton Beast Record Best Attendance Midway Through the Season
One of the great lesser-known holiday tunes that truly captures the essence of the holiday season is “The Greatest Gift of All.”
The message of this 1984 song, performed by country-pop icons Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, is that none of the parcels or cards that we opened on Christmas Eve or Christmas day should receive the designation, “the best gift we received this year.” Instead, be most thankful for the people that love you, and treasure the time that you get to spend with them.
The Brampton Beast organization considers the passion and steadfast support of you, our fans, to be the gift we are most grateful for during the holiday season.
Your enthusiastic support has the Beast well on their way to shattering their previous season-end home attendance record: Beast home games this season are averaging 3,144 fans, which is 388 more than the 2015-16 standard of 2,756 fans.
This positive differential of 388 fans from last season to this season signifies a 14.1 percent growth rate. Only Wichita Thunder’s (17.4 percent) home audience has increased at a larger ratio this season.
However, perhaps the most impressive figure is Brampton’s overall home attendance figure of 47,166, 15 contests into their 36-game schedule at the Powerade Centre.
Thank you so much fans! We will see you in the New Year on January 6.
