4. Kotak Law donates 1,000 tickets to Canadian Military Veterans
For the second year in a row, Nainesh Kotak, Barrister and Solicitor with Kotak Personal Injury Law, stepped up to purchased 1,000 tickets to the Beast’s annual Kotak Law Military Appreciation Day game —held on November 13, 2016 — for active and veteran members of the military and their families, and cadets.
In addition, he also made sizeable $2,000 donation to Wounded Warriors Canada, a not-for-profit organization that supports Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, and their families.
“We as Canadians are deeply indebted to Wounded Warriors Canada, because they provide comfort and aid to those who in our country who have sacrificed the most,” said Kotak at a press conference hosted by the Beast a few days prior to the game. “This is why Wounded Warriors Canada is close to my heart, and why they will receive my unwavering support.”
The Beast also raised funds for Wounded Warriors Canada by auctioning off the special military-themed jerseys worn during this special game (Check out the jerseys in our special Facebook album!).

There was plenty of special guests on hand to take part in the festivities: Members of Sunnybrook Veterans, including World War II and Korean War veterans, members of the Royal Canadian Legion, members of the Military Family Resource Centre and representatives from Invictus Games Toronto 2017.
