SWISS CHALET PREVIEW: Brampton Beast at Orlando Solar Bears

TODAY'S GAME: The Brampton Beast, the ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, will look bounce back from a tight 4-2 loss in the opener of a three-game road series against the Orlando Solar Bears, the affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

UP THE DIVISION LADDER: Currently ranked fourth in the North Division, the Beast will have a chance to pull into a tie for third place with the Wheeling Nailers if they beat Orlando, and if Wheeling loses to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on Saturday night.

MARVELOUS MACLEAN:  Brandon MacLean has been tearing up the scoresheet over the past week by netting a staggering four goals and six assists during a four-game points streak. The 30-year-old was the MVP during the Beast's showdown against the Solar Bears on Thursday afternoon as he scored both of his team's goals.

MILES AHEAD: This 2016-17 Brampton Beast offense is much more dynamic than the last year's club thus far. This skaters on this year's Beast roster have scored 57 goals after 14 games, which is a 30 percent increase over the 40 goals scored by the 15-16 team after the same number of games.  

TOUGH TO CONTAIN: The Brampton Beast are riding an impressive streak heading into their 15th game of the season: only they and the Tulsa Oilers have scored at least two goals in every game they have played this year. 

POTENT STREAK:  David Vallorani's five-game points streak that has seen him pot four goal and four assists has elevated him into a tie with David Pacan for the team lead in scoring. Both men have eight goals and nine assists for 17 points. Also earning at least a point in the last five games is Luc-Olivier Blain. The second-year Beast forward has compiled one goal and six assists over this stretch. 

LOOKING FOR A ICE-BREAKER: Brampton comes into this matchup with zero victories over the Orlando Solar Bears. The Beast are 0-4 all time against the Orlando Solar Bears after the 4-2 set back on Thursday.
