SWISS CHALET PREVIEW: Brampton Beast at Orlando Solar Bears

NOTE: Live commentary will not begin until 15 minutes before puck drop.

TODAY'S GAME: The Brampton Beast, the ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, will look to record their second three-game winning streak of the season as they open a three-game road series against the Orlando Solar Bears, the affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

GOING NORTH IN THE NORTH: Currently ranked fourth in the North Division, the Beast will have a chance to pull into a tie for third place with the idle Wheeling Nailers with a win against Orlando. This division is proving to be highly competitive so far this season with four teams, including the Beast, owning a winning percentage greater than 65%.

SCORING EXPLOSION: After a bit of a cold spell earlier in November, David Vallorani  has been tearing up the scoresheet as of late. He is currently riding a four-game point streak that has seen him pot four goals and three assists. He was particularly deadly against the Elmira Jackals this past weekend with two goals and an assist on Friday, and two more goals on Saturday to lead his team to a home-and-home sweep.Brandon  MacLean is also rolling with an incredible seven points over his past two games. He had one goal and three assists on Friday and three assists on Saturday.

FULL STRENGTH EXCELLENCE: Brampton has a respectable 5-3 record so far in the month of November in large part due to solid 5-on-5 play. The Beast have outscored their opponents 30-25 at even strength, which makes up for allowing two more power play goals than they have scored (4-6).

DEADLY OFFENSE: The Brampton Beast offense has been special 12 games into this ECHL season.  The Beast skaters have managed to score an average of 4.23 goals a game. Only the Toledo Walleye (4.33) possess a better scoring rate.  The Beast enter this game with five goals or more in each of their past three games.

STREAKING AGAIN: Beast leading scorer has had a November to remember with two three-game goal scoring streaks. The 25-year-old, who leads the Beast with eight goals and 17 points, will look to extend his run of lighting the lamp to a season-high four games on Thursday.

BREAKING THE GOOSE EGG: The Beast come into this matchup with zero victories over the Orlando Solar Bears. These two teams met for the first three times last season —all the games were at the Powerade Centre — and the Solar Bears won all three of those affairs.
