SWISS CHALET PREVIEW: Brampton Beast at Wheeling Nailers

11/14/2016 9:51 PM -

NOTE: Live commentary will not begin until 15 minutes before puck drop.

TODAY'S GAME:  The Beast are hoping to bounce back from a 5-2 loss to the Nailers on Sunday afternoon at the Powerade Centre and record their fifth win in the last seven games.

LOOKING TO RISE: The Beast will at the very least pass the Nailers and earn sole posession of fourth place in the North Division if they win on the road. The Beast opened their season with a 3-2 overtime win over Wheeling at WesBanco Arena on October 15.

STREAKS SNAPPED: Sunday's game saw multiple point streaks come to the end: Captain Brandon Marino potted three goals and 10 assists for 13 points during his eight-game streak. Yannick Veilleux potted four goals and six assists during this seven-game run and Brandon MacLean was kept off the board after recording two goals and two helpers over three games.

PENALTY KILLING PROWESS: The Beast penalty kill is red hot in November as they have shut down 17 of 19 opposition power plays this month. The Beast went 7-for-8 on the kill on Sunday.

EXPLOSIVE OFFENSE: The Beast have made it clear through 10 games that they are more than a one-line club. There have been at least three different goal scorers for the Beast in eight of the past games. The Beast's 3.90 goals per game is the second highest in the league.

PITTON IN THE CAGE: Bryan Pitton delivered his finest goaltending performance of the season with 33 saves on 35 shots on Saturday night. The 28-year-old will look to build off his strong performance and increase his personal winning streak to three straight games.

EVEN STRENGTH EXCELLENCE: The Beast's five-on-five play has propelled them to four wins in their last six games as they have outscored their opponents 24-16 in this situation.
