Captain Marino Reassigned to Beast

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO – The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the St. John’s IceCaps and Montreal Canadiens, announce today that Team Captain Brandon Marino has been released from his Professional Tryout Contract with the American Hockey League’s Utica Comets and has been reassigned to the Beast.


Marino, 29, suited up for eight games with the Comets and recorded one goal, his first career AHL goal, as well as four penalty minutes.


He rejoins the Beast and remains the club’s leading scorer with nine goals and 25 assists for 34 points in 34 games played with Brampton this season.


Marino, a Riverside, California native, is expected to be in the lineup this Friday, February 12 as the Beast host their North Division rivals, the Toledo Walleye, at 7:15 PM.
