Blueliner Blain Back in Brampton

BRAMPTON, ON – The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the St. John’s IceCaps and Montreal Canadiens, announce today that defenceman Jeremie Blain has been reassigned to the Beast from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League and will be in the lineup against the Fort Wayne Komets on February 2.


Blain, who played his first AHL game of the 2015-16 season on January 8, played five games with the Wolves and scored his first ever AHL goal against the Texas Stars on January 8.


At the time of his call up, Blain’s 12 power play assists and 20 assists were the second-highest totals recorded by an ECHL defenceman this season. He continues to lead the Brampton Beast in power play points with 13.


The Beast are back in action on Tuesday morning for their second school game of the season at 11:00 AM against the Fort Wayne Komets. Single game tickets are now available, starting at $16.25.
