BRAMPTON, ON – The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the St. John’s IceCaps and Montreal Canadiens, announce today that forward Brandon McNally has been reassigned to the Beast from the St. John’s IceCaps and will play tonight against the Florida Everblades.
McNally, 23, hails from the United States, calling Saugus, Massachusetts, his hometown. He has played with both the former Hamilton Bulldogs and St. John’s IceCaps of the AHL. McNally recorded three goals and three assists, for a total of six points in 34 AHL games played.
Capable of playing both the right and left wings, McNally enjoyed a four-year NCAA career from 2011-12 to 2014-15 and posted 31 goals and 34 assists for 65 points in 105 games played.
McNally was invited twice to attend NHL development camps and attended camp for both the Tampa Bay Lightning and Montreal Canadiens.
In a separate transaction, the Beast have released Matt Syroczynski from his Standard Player Contract. He recorded four penalty minutes and four shots on goal in his lone game with the Beast against the Everblades on Friday night.
The Beast and the Florida Everblades are back in action again tonight, Saturday January 16 at Germain Arena at 7:30 PM. The Beast return home on January 31 as they host the Wheeling Nailers.
