BRAMPTON, ON – The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the St. John’s IceCaps and Montreal Canadiens, announce today several transactions ahead of tonight’s game against the Florida Everblades.

The Beast have acquired forward Joe Zarbo via a trade from the Colorado Eagles in exchange for future considerations.

Zarbo, 24, hails from Grand Island, New York and like McNally, enjoyed a stellar four-year NCAA career. From 2011-12 to 2014-15, Zarbo suited up for Clarkson University and netted 34 goals with 32 assists for 66 points in 136 games.

Zarbo made the jump to the ECHL in 2014-15 with the Evansville IceMen. Between 2014-15 and this season, he played 14 games with Evansville, and collected five goals and three assists in just 14 games played.

This season with Colorado, Zarbo has five goals and five assists in 23 games played.

In a separate transaction, the Beast have signed forward Matt Syroczynski to a Standard Player Contract. The 32-year old is no stranger to the ECHL, having suited up for 130 ECHL contests between the Fort Wayne Komets, Florida Everblades and Cincinnati Cyclones.

A top-notch scorer, has 65 goals and 43 assists in those 130 ECHL games.

The Beast and the Florida Everblades are back in action again tonight, Friday, January 15 at Germain Arena at 7:30 PM. The Beast return home on January 31 as they host the Wheeling Nailers. Single game tickets are now available, starting at $16.25.
