Pither, Thrower Return to Beast

BRAMPTON, ON – The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the St. John’s IceCaps and Montreal Canadiens, announce today that forward Luke Pither and defenseman Dalton Thrower have been reassigned from the American Hockey League’s St. John’s IceCaps and will be in the lineup this afternoon against the Kalamazoo Wings.


Pither suited up for three road contests with the IceCaps and recorded one assist with one shot on goal and four penalty minutes.


In 12 games with the Beast this season, Pither has recorded five goals and five assists to go along with ten penalty minutes. His 53 shots on goal is tied for the team lead with Chris Auger.


Thrower has cracked the IceCaps lineup for five games this season and has recorded two shots on goal with a +1 rating.


As a member of the Beast, he has appeared in two games, recording one assist and 11 penalty minutes, including a fighting major against Kalamazoo Wings forward Justin Taylor on November 15.
