BRAMPTON, ON – The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the St. John’s IceCaps and Montreal Canadiens, announce today that forwards Angelo Miceli and Mark MacMillan have been recalled by the IceCaps of the American Hockey League.
Miceli, called up this morning, is leading the Beast’s rookies in scoring with three goals and three assists in eight games played and has recorded four points in his last four games.
The Montreal native started the season in St. John’s with the IceCaps and was in the lineup for three contests. He recorded his first professional goal with the IceCaps on October 11 against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.MacMillan has been hitting his stride lately in Brampton and is coming off a stellar two-point game (1G, 1A) in the club’s 4-2 win over the Manchester Monarchs on Sunday afternoon.
MacMillan, who was recalled following the IceCaps' 3-2 overtime win over the Toronto Marlies on Friday night, has recorded two goals and three assists in six games with the Beast this season. All five of his points have come in his last three games.
MacMillan has suited up for a single game for the AHL’s IceCaps this season on October 28 in Lehigh Valley against the Phantoms.
The Beast are back at the Powerade Centre this weekend as the Kalamazoo Wings come to town on Sunday, November 15 at 2:00PM. Single game tickets are now available, starting at $16.25.
