TONIGHT'S GAME: The Beast suit up for a three-game series against the Wichita Thunder at the Powerade Centre on Star Wars Night, with the home side wearing specialty jerseys. The Beast are returning home a quick two-game road trip that saw them travel to Kansas and then Texas to play the Wichita Thunder and Allen Americans. The Beast are 1-2-0 against the Thunder this season, including splitting a two-game home series 1-1-0 at the Powerade Centre in early December. After this series, the Beast and Thunder pay once more in Wichita to wrap up the season series.

LAST TIME OUT: The Beast put up one of their most entertaining games of the season against an Allen Americans squad that has had their number all year. After going into the third period tied at two, both teams stepped up their offensive game, scoring three goals each to send the game into overtime, including Allen's tying marker with nine seconds left in the third. Chad Painchaud potted his fourth hat trick of the month in overtime to seal the victory and end his fabulous February in style.

Pain-Show: Chad Painchaud has been named the ECHL's player of the month after his magnificent on-ice effort during the month of February. Painchaud scored a league-leading 17 goals, had four hat tricks (including a four-goal game), and 20 total points with four game winning tallies.

Help-Ling Hand: Ling: David Ling continues to be the set-up man on the Beast’s top line. The veteran forward had 16 assists in the month of February, including seven in his last five games.

Dynamic Donati: Over the past five games, Justin Donati leads both the Beast and the entire ECHL in points, with 2 goals and 9 assists for a total of 11 points in five games.

Fresh Faces: The Beast have signed three new players in the past week fresh out of postsecondary hockey: Defenseman Dean Willmott and forward Jeff Brown from Canadian CIS Hockey, and goaltender Ryan DeMelo from NCAA III. Additionally, forward Brett Lyon will make his Beast debut after being acquired from the Allen Americans for Steven Tarasuk.

League Leaders: The Beast's top line of Justin Donati, Chad Painchaud and David Ling has been astounding during the month of February. All three are in the top-10 of league scoring during February, amassing a total of 53 points. The line has paced the ECHL in point production during that time outscoring the next closest line by four points.

Powerplay Potential: The Beast have had just 179 powerplay opportunities to date, the fewest of any team in the ECHL.

Cann the Man: Trevor Cann continues to produce solid numbers despite a heavy workload, piling up the fourth most saves in the ECHL (1045)

Team Effort: The Beast have been getting contributions from all through out their line up as of late. The 'sand paper' line of Cal Wild, Stephon Thorne and Mike MacIsaac/ Tyson Fawcett have combined for 10 points in the past five games, led by Wild's two goals and two assists.

Staying Positive: Matt McCready is a team-leading +3 over his last 5 games while Guy LeBoeuf, Chad Painchaud and David Ling are all a +2 over the past 5 games.
