BRAMPTON, ON- The Brampton Beast are getting WILD this weekend! Join the Beast on Sunday,February 22 at 2:00 PM when they take on their archrivals, the Quad City Mallards on Cal Wild Jersey Giveaway Day!
The first 1000 fans through the doors will receive a Cal Wild Beast Jersey, with Cal’s name and number on the back and ‘C’ on the front. With so many ‘Wild Beast’s’ in the crowd, the duck hunt on the ice will be on!
The Beast and Mallards have faced off against each other 11 times already this season, with the Mallards currently leading the series 6-5. The last time Quad City was in town, the Beast came away with three nail-biting wins in five games, including a victory in their only shootout so far this season, to remain perfect at home in the extra frame.
The final match of the series will be on School Day, Monday February 23, where public school students from the Peel Region have been invited to the Powerade Centre courtesy of tickets donated by our corporate partners, businesses and season ticket holders.
With a strong focus on literacy and academia in schools, the Beast front office and players felt this would be a spectacular chance to give back to the Peel youth, and have changed the start time of the game from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. in order to accommodate the school day. As a result the Beast are expecting their first sold-out crowd in franchise history, and it is sure to be a loud one!
After the game, the Beast are back on the road travelling to Wichita to take on the Thunder on February 27, before squaring off against the Allen Americans the night after. The Beast return home on Friday March 6, to take on the same Wichita Thunder at the Powerade Centre. Sunday March 8 will be Star Wars Night, where the Beast will wear their specialty Star Wars jerseys that will be auctioned off following the game with proceeds going to charity.
