TONIGHT'S GAME: Tonight's game marks the Beast's fifth road game this season, and the first of three contests between the Brampton Beast and Rapid City Rush this week. The teams will meet a total of nine times this season.  
LAST TIME OUT: Despite an early third-period goal that made the game close until the final moments, the Beast were unable to overcome back-to-back stellar performances from Riley Gill, the ECHL leader in SAV%, to fall 4-1 on Saturday night and drop a second consecutive game to the Allen Americans. The result lowers the Beast to 3-7-1 on the season, however they remain 3-2-0 in their last five games after winning three in a row over the previous two weeks against Quad City.

  • Road Warriors: The Beast's road penalty-kill is 2nd in the ECHL at 92.3%
  • Dreaming of Home: Brampton has only one point so far this season away from the Powerade Centre in four games played (a 3-2 OT loss to Elmira).

  • Road Less Travelled: Brampton has only played 4 road games so far this season, tied with Cincinnati for the fewest in the ECHL

  • Star Signing: One of Brampton's big-name off-season acquisitions, Chad Painchaud, has wasted no time in showing why he were brought in to the team. Painchaud currently leads the Beast in scoring with 11 points in ten games (2 G, 9A)
  • Double-Edged Sword: The second period has been Brampton's best offensively through the team's first ten games, as they have tallied 13 goals in the middle frame, but also their worst defensively as they have allowed 19
  • Shutting Down the Third: The Beast have allowed the fewest shots against in the third period (141) and have also conceded the fewest goals (13) in that frame
  • Shooting Stats: Brampton has a 3.05% shooting percentage in the first period, an 11.01% shooting percentage in the second period, and a 6.42% shooting percentage in the third, good for 7.33% overall (compared to a league average of 10.41%)

RUSH: 5-2-1 when scoring first, 0-7-0 when conceding the first goal
