11/21/2014 9:12 AM -

BRAMPTON, ON – On Saturday, December 6th the Brampton Beast will welcome fans to the Powerade Centre for the Maple Lodge Farms Free Hot Dog Day as they take on the Wichita Thunder.

Every fan with a valid game ticket will receive a free hot dog courtesy of our celebrated community partner Maple Lodge Farms from 12:00pm to puck drop at 2:00 pm. For this special event, our Will-call and Box Office will be open at 12:00 pm.

“Maple Lodge has always been a tremendous partner of the Beast, but has also been a great community leader in Brampton for many years,” said Beast General Manager Cary Kaplan. “Providing free hot dogs to all our fans on December 6th is just another example of their commitment to the people of the Peel Region.”

The Maple Lodge Farms Free Hot Dog Day will be a part of a trio of weekend promotions as the Beast return home from a five-game road trip through Texas and South Dakota.

“The Beast have demonstrated that hockey not only belongs in Brampton, but that professional sports are an integral part of this city and can have a profound and positive impact on the local community,” said Kristina Joyner, head of promotions and sponsorships at Maple Lodge Farms. “We are proud to continue our partnership with the Beast in sponsoring an event that gives back to the local fan base.”

The Beast will welcome the Thunder to Brampton for back-to-back games Friday night and Saturday afternoon, before playing host to the Wheeling Nailers on Sunday. Fans attending Friday’s game will receive a voucher for a free slice of pizza courtesy of Pizza Pizza, while the Peel Regional Police will be on hand to collect new and unwrapped toys for our Toys for Tots game.

Sunday marks the Beast’s First Annual Teddy Bear Toss, where Teddy Bears will be available for purchase on the concourse for $2 or 3 for $5 courtesy of Canadian Tire, with proceeds going towards the CTC’s Jump Start Program.
