BRAMPTON, ON – On Sunday, November 16th the Beast will be honouring past and current members of the Canadian Armed Forces. For every ticket purchased for this game, a portion of the proceeds will go to past and current military members and their families. Canadian military and their families will receive free admission to the game on Sunday and are encouraged to call in at 905-564-1684 to reserve their tickets.
This past Sunday, the Beast hosted their annual Remembrance themed game that involved a remarkable pre-game ceremony commemorating those who served our nation. Beast players wore specialty jerseys that included a collage of the Canadian flag, soldiers, the words ‘Lest We Forget’ and the poem Flanders Field on the sleeve that were then auctioned. Proceeds from the jersey auction will be donated to veterans and their family members to attend the upcoming game this Sunday. The first 1000 fans under the age of 13 in attendance on Sunday will receive free Brampton Beast youth jerseys.
The Brampton Beast will see the Quad City Mallards this upcoming weekend with the first game starting Friday, November 14 at 7:30PM. Former Toronto Maple Leaf and Hockey Hall of Famer, Johnny Bower, will be in attendance as the Beast celebrate his 90th birthday. Fans will have the opportunity to meet him and receive a commemorative plaque of Johnny Bower.
