Veilleux Joins Beast from Laval

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO – The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, announce today that forward Yannick Veilleux has been reassigned to the Beast from Montreal’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Laval Rocket.


Veilleux, a 24-year-old left winger from St-Hippolyte, Quebec, appeared in 11 contests with the Beast last season and scored three goals and eight assists for 11 points with 31 penalty minutes.


He spent the majority of the 2016-17 season in the American Hockey league with the St. John’s IceCaps and appeared in 53 contests, scoring six goals to accompany ten assists and 59 penalty minutes.


To date, Veilleux has appeared in 201 regular season AHL games with the Peoria Rivermen, Chicago Wolves and IceCaps, plus another 73 ECHL games with the Beast and the Kalamazoo Wings.



As a junior, Veilleux appeared in 247 QMJHL contests with the Shawinigan Cataractes and Moncton Wildcats and won a Memorial Cup with Shawinigan in 2012.
