Ebbing Reassigned to Beast from Laval

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO – The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, announce today that forward Thomas Ebbing has been reassigned to the Beast from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Laval Rocket.

Ebbing, a 23 year-old forward from Troy, Michigan, signed an AHL/ECHL contract with Laval earlier this offseason.

The 2017-18 season will be Ebbing’s first as a professional. He spent the last four seasons in the NCAA with Michigan State University. In 143 career NCAA contests between the 2013-14 and 2016-17 seasons, he notched 14 goals and 41 helpers with 54 penalty minutes.

The 5’11” lefty impressed during the 2017 Rookie Tournament held at Ricoh Coliseum between prospects of the Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs. He recorded a team-leading three goals in two games played.

The Beast have also released the following players from training camp: goaltenders Peter DiSalvo and Vinny Merante, forwards Taylor Pryce, Graham Yeo, Matt Ryder and defenseman Robbie Hall.
