BRAMPTON, ONTARIO – The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, announce today that goaltender Zach Fucale has been reassigned to the Beast from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the St. John’s IceCaps.

Fucale, 21, backed up the IceCaps’ final postseason game last night as St. John’s dropped a 2-1 overtime decision to the Syracuse Crunch, ending the IceCaps’ season as they dropped the best-of-five series 3-1.

The Laval, Quebec native has been hot between the pipes for the Beast during their Kelly Cup Playoff run. Fucale appeared in six contests and posted a 5-1 record and a league-leading 1.32 goals against average and a .959 save percentage.

The Beast return to action tonight as they host the Manchester Monarchs in Game Two of the North Division Finals at the Powerade Centre. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:15PM.
