BRAMPTON, ONTARIO – The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, announce today that goaltender Zach Fucale has been recalled to the team’s American Hockey League affiliate, the St. John’s IceCaps.

Fucale, 21, was instrumental in helping the Beast to a series victory in the North Division Semifinal against the Reading Royals and did his part to give the Beast a series lead in the North Division Finals against the Manchester Monarchs. In six postseason games played, Fucale has been lights out, posting a 5-1 record to accompany a league-best 1.32 goals against average and .959 save percentage.

The Laval, Quebec native will join the IceCaps in the midst of their own playoff series. The IceCaps are currently trailing the Syracuse Crunch two games to one in their best-of-five playoff matchup.

The Beast return to action for Game Two of the North Division Final on Saturday, April 29 as they host the Manchester Monarchs at the Powerade Centre. Fucale and the IceCaps will play Game Four of their opening round series on Friday, April 28 in Syracuse.
