NOTE: Live commentary will not begin until 15 minutes before puck drop.

TODAY'S GAME: The Brampton Beast, the ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, look to bounce back after a tough 5-3 loss to the Orlando Solar Bears. Tonight's rematch is scheduled for 7:15PM.

A NEW FRANCHISE ALL-TIME POINTS LEADER: Beast captain Brandon Marino notched an assist on Connor Crisp's goal yesterday for his 101st point as a member of the Beast. The helper pushed him out of a tie with Jason Pitton for the franchise lead. Marino followed up the assist later in the game with a dazzling re-direction of the puck into the Orlando net after a slick pass by David Pacan.

AN EMERGING THREAT: Power-forward Connor Crisp has racked up six points (3G, 3A) in his last six games and has been creating havoc around the front of the net for his opposition during that stretch. The Alliston, Ontario native has 25 points in 35 games with Brampton (12G, 13A) this season and provides a strong presence on the Beast's top line with Pacan and Marino.

BAD BLOOD FOR BITTER RIVALS: The Beast and Solar Bears showed their true colours during the first game of the affiliation series. Orlando and Brampton combined for 26 minutes in penalties on 13 infractions last night.

CHAULK IT UP TO COACHING: Beast bench boss Colin Chaulk has 59 wins through his first two seasons as the head coach of Brampton. This season the Beast have a win percentage of 0.617 with just eight games left in the year.

TIGHT NORTH DIVISION: The Beast have stayed afloat at the top of the North Division standings recently with 79 points through 64 games. The Adirondack Thunder trail in second with 78 points, the Manchester Monarchs are close behind in third with 77 and the Reading Royals sit just three points back of the Beast in fourth. Wheeling also is in the hunt for a post season berth with 72 points just four back of Wheeling after playing 65 games so far this season.

LEAGUE LEADERS: David Vallorani is alone in third for the ECHL points scoring race with 76 (28G, 48A) in 64 games played. Pacan is tied for second in the league with 35 goals, trailing the league leader Brendoan O'Donnell by just one goal. Zachary Fucale is tied for third in the league in shutouts with four on the year.
