SWISS CHALET PREVIEW: Brampton Beast at Elmira Jackals

TODAY'S GAME: The Brampton Beast, the ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, hope to shake off a loss as they head to Elmira for their last ever game against the Jackals at First Arena.                                           


HEAD TO HEAD STATS: Today's game will be the ninth and final game of the season between the Beast and the Jackals. Brampton is a perfect 8-0-0-0 against Elmira thus far this season. David Pacan (8GP, 7G, 5A) and Brandon MacLean (5GP, 3G, 9A) lead the way with 12 points against the Jackals this season. Zach Fucale is a perfect 6-0 against Elmira with a 2.66 GAA and a .903 save percentage.                                     


BEAST OF A DEFENSEMAN: Beast defenseman Jordan Henry is enjoying one of the best offensive stretches of his professional career. He now has 19 goals and 32 assists for 51 points in 105 career games with the Beast. He is currently two points back of tying Mathew Maione's Beast defense points record set at 53 points (86GP, 18G, 35A, 53 PTS) set in the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.                                            


LEAGUE LEADERS: David Pacan is now second in the league in goals at 35. David Vallorani is alone in third in league points with 73 (27G, 46A). Zach Fucale is third in games played (41) and fifth in minutes (2256) and is fifth in wins with 23.                                                                                              


ALL TIME BEAST: Beast captain Brandon Marino is having another great season with the Beast, with 16 goals and 42 assists for 58 points in 61 games. Marino is just one point back of tying Jason Pitton for the club's all-time points record, currently set at 100. Pitton set the mark with 136 games played. Marino recorded his 99 points through only 100 games played.                                             


PLAYOFF PICTURE: The Reading Royals remain in top spot in the North Division with 76 points. The Beast are in a tie for second at 75 points with the Manchester Monarchs.  Occupying the fourth spot in the division are the Adirondack Thunder at 72 points, while the Wheeling Nailers, last season's Eastern Conference champs, are on the outside looking in with 68 points. Elmira is in a distant sixth place with 36 points.                                             


HEATING UP: Beast defenseman Tim Billingsley has goals in back-to-back games for the first time this season. David Vallorani (3G, 8A) has 11 points in his last eight games while David Pacan (4G, 6A) and Brandon marino (3G, 7A) each have ten points over their last eight games.
