NOTE: Live commentary will not begin until 15 minutes before puck drop.

TODAY'S GAME: The Brampton Beast, the ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, look to win their ninth straight game at the Powerade Centre as they host their North Division rivals, the Reading Royals, for the second half of back-to-back games.

GETTING CLOSER: With their win over Reading last night, the Beast have now reached 33 victories for the first time in their ECHL history, matching the franchise record for wins in a season set by the 2013-2014 Central Hockey League squad. A win tonight for the Beast would set a new franchise single-season win record.

DAVID "CLUTCH" VALLORANI: With his four-point performance (2G, 2A) and overtime heroics last night scoring the game winner giving the Beast a 7-6 win against the Royals, David Vallorani moves into a tie for third place, with Colarado Eagles forward Matt Garbowsky, in the ECHL points race with 69 points on the year. The OT winner last night was his team leading sixth game-winning goal of the season. David Pacan and Chris Auger each have five game winning goals this year.

WORKIN' OVERTIME: Dating back to last season, the Beast and Royals have gone to overtime in five straight contests. The Beast have come out ahead in these tight games, compiling a 4-0-1 record over that stretch.

MORE RECORDS TO BE BROKEN? Beast Captain Brandon Marino already took over the Beast all-time assist record earlier this season and now he has his eyes on a bigger prize. Marino is just three points back of tying Jason Pitton for the club's all-time points record, currently set at 100. Pitton set the mark with 136 games played. Marino recorded his 97 points through only 98 games played.

TIGHT NORTH DIVISION: The Beast are now tied with the Manchester Monarchs for first place in the North Division with 73 points. The Reading Royals are now alone in third with 72 points, while the Adirondack Thunder  are right behind them in fourth place with 68 points. Still fighting to crack the top four are the Wheeling Nailers, currently in fifth place with 62 points.

LEAGUE LEADERS: David Pacan remains atop the league goal-scoring race with 34 goals. Vallorani is tied for third in league points with 69 (27G, 42A). Zach Fucale is tied for fourth in shutouts with three and tied for fourth in wins with 23.
