Impactful Defenseman Corrin Returns from Marlies

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO - The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, announce today that defenseman Willie Corrin has been reassigned to the Beast from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.


Corrin, a 25-year-old International Falls, Minnesota native, appeared in four contests with the Marlies and recorded two penalty minutes.


As a member of the Beast this season, Corrin has been a difference-maker. He has played in 17 games with Brampton thus far in the 2016-17 campaign, scoring five goals and adding five assists and 10 penalty minutes.


He was red-hot with the Beast back in December and into January, recording a goal in four straight contests from December 23 through to January 1.


He leads all Beast defenseman with a pair of game-winning goals, including an overtime winner over the Kalamazoo Wings on January 13.


Corrin is expected to return to the Beast lineup in time for the club’s rematch against the Wheeling Nailers at WesBanco Arena on Friday at 7:35PM.
