SWISS CHALET PREVIEW: Brampton Beast at Toledo Walleye

     TODAY'S GAME: The Brampton Beast, the ECHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, hope to make it back-to-back wins over the Toledo Walleye as they visit the Huntington Center in Toledo on Saturday night. The Beast are currently riding a four-game winning streak.                                       


LET'S GET ANOTHER: The Beast are hot of late, winning four in a row and picking up points in six of their last seven games played. The Beast need one more victory to match their season-best winning streak at five games, set from Dec. 4 to Dec. 15. During their current four-game streak, the Beast have outscored their opponents 18-9.                                     


APPROACHING SINGLE SEASON RECORDS…: Forwards David Vallorani and David Pacan are fast approaching signinificant team milestones.With a goal in last night's win, Vallorani currently leads the team with 52 points (22G, 30A) and is 3 points shy of the franchise record for points in a single season, 55, set by Jason Pitton in 2013-2014. Pacan leads the team with 25 goals and is just four shy of matching the single season franchise goal record, 29, set by Andew Fournier in 2013-2014.                                             


HEATING UP: With his 20-save performance last night, Zach Fucale is now on a personal three-game winning streak, his longest since a five-game run from Dec. 4 to Dec. 15.                                       


STREAKY BEAST: The Beast have five players who are currently riding four-game point streaks, including David Ling (1G, 3A), Chris Leveille (1G, 4A), Chris Auger (3G, 3A), Jordan Henry (6A) and David Vallorani (4G, 2A).                                      


FIERCELY COMPETITIVE NORTH DIVISION…: The Beast are intertwined in a fierce playoff race with their North Division rivals.  The Manchester Monarchs lead the way the in the North with 64 points, the Reading Royals and Adirondack Thunder trail with 59 and 57 points respectively, while the Beast and Wheeling Nailers are nipping at the heels of those teams with 55 points each.          


FIGHTING FOES: The Beast and the Walleye have battled seven times thus far this season. Brampton has picked up points in four of those seven games, owning a 2-3-1-1 record during that span. Including tonight's game, these teams will three more times before the end of the 2016-17 season.
